BRIGHTON INTOX EXTRAVAGANZA #9

About this event

Lovely live leftfield music will leap from…

SCREAMING ALICE improvised electronics (mostly analogue, we’ll have you know) from Brighton-Hove legends Andrew Greaves and Howard Spencer. DIGITAL ROSES Stalwarts of London Intox Extravaganza, we welcome these sonic witches to Brighton to produce excellent  Experimental Art Pop Music – ambient noise with wistful melodies. MARESCA, PEVERDY & YAMADA Having taken the last Brighton Intox by tempest as part of Electryza, Mercedes Maresca is back with an entirely different improv trio to blow us all away all over again… Mercedes Maresca (piano/ percussion) Kevin Peverdy (drums) Mao Yamada (Bass). ROTTEN BLISS Having been part of Intox Extravaganza for most of the past decade, Rotten Bliss is the violent, warm and weird visions of London based avant-garde cellist and vocalist Jasmine Pender. “Coarse and beautifully heavy…[with] hallmarks of folk, metal and classical, without subscribing to any particular tribe” (Wire Magazine). A mere fiver on the door (or Eventbrite – cash or card)… Doors are at 7pm (though Jim Morrisson will not be playing 😅) Intox Extravaganza is a mechanism for musical electicism!
